Foraging in the Foliage
Of The “Live Free or Die State”
New Hampshire is my old stomping grounds from my college days. It’s where I learned to…..well…learn. It was a superb state to be in for college. When you talk about work life balance, New Hampshire is a playground.
The Summers bring hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and fishing. Boating and flying and racing and….cooking out.
New Hampshire has very little coastline, but a attraction to it. Upstream, some of the best ski resorts in the country are accessible. The entertainment at the lodges is unmatched….i can hear the ski boots clunking up the stairs already.
Hundreds of restaurants, cabins and bed and breakfasts are tucked away not far from these powdery slopes.
which brings me to……..
The Tuckaway
Tavern and Butchery
I have to say this place has AMAZING steak tips. But in addition to the good food, it’s NEW ENGLAND!! The fall air, the foliage, IPA and Guiness start to satisfy that craving to store and hibernate.
Tuckaway is a butcher shop inside a restaurant. So they might know a thing or two about how to cut and prepare it.
Brilliantly marinated and served with your favorite sides are the steak tips.
Knowing their foodies are from all over the world, they can ship much of what they make. Just call and tell them Jeff from MAHI Media sent you.
